
This well-known Australian organisation is seeking a Collections Officer to join their team. The organisation is looking for an individual who will add value to the team and fit in well with the culture. Long-term they are interesting in investing in the right person by converting their contract into a permanent position within the accounting team.
Responsibilities:
This role will have you establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships with our clients
to proactively retrieve customer payments within appropriate terms.
You will also:
- Build and maintain relationships with all customers and key stakeholders
- Manage a high-volume ledger, updating debtor information and monitoring credit limits
- Utilise strong problem-solving skills to ensure timely resolution to customer queries
- Follow company processes and procedures with regards to collection and escalation
- Engage and work collectively across teams to reduce overdue debt
- Monitor and review with Management high risk accounts
- Work proactively to increase cashflow within customers allocated terms
Skills and experience:
The successful applicant will have a proven collections ability and;
- Minimum 2 years AR experience
- Superior communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Experience working with a high- volume accounts
- Ability to reconcile complex accounts and have excellent attention to detail
- Exceptional organisation skills and time management
- Proven experience in DSO reduction and working on delinquent accounts
- Ability to multitask and apply innovation where necessary
- Demonstrated ability to work confidently within a team as well as autonomously
- Intermediate to Advance in Microsoft office Excel
- Experience in SAP Ariba preferred
- Relevant Tertiary or AICM qualifications
- Prior experience within the hire industry desirable (but not essential)
