The Client

Our client is a Project Management and Advisory consultancy with offices across Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. They operate across various sectors in QLD with a particular focus on Healthcare due to a strong market presence and delivered projects resulting in a significant pipeline of work. They are looking for a Site Rep to join their project team predominantly on a large Healthcare project however you will be involved in other projects too.

The Role

You will be supporting the Principal Representative and acting as the Site Representative on a large Health project based South of Brisbane. You will be exposed to other projects within the consultancy. Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to;

• work closely with the managing contractor assessing site conditions
• review subcontractor tender documents reporting to Principal Rep on contractual and statutory requirements
• monitor construction process aligning with subcontract documentation, ensuring high quality standards are adhered to
• Work with the Principal Rep to establish; review of subcontract tender documents and reporting, notification of issue of Building Act compliance drawings and reporting procedural updates to Principal Rep, project team members and the Project Control committee
• monitor building performance and ensure defects and omissions are rectified during DLP and carry out practical completion inspection advising the Principal's Representative of PC ensuring tests, warranties, certificates and documents have been provided
• work closely with the Principal on all matters in relation to construction progress, referral of urgent matters, coordination of inspections, extension of time claims etc.
• liaise with the Building Surveyor / Certifier to ensure that Statutory Authority approvals have been attained at practical completion
• assist the client during introductory inspections ensuring building components, equipment and contents are operating accordingly
• management the defects process

About You

This role would suit site managers or site supervisors who are wanting to transition to working for a client-side consultancy on a number of influential projects. It is expected that you would have strong construction knowledge, on-site construction experience (ideally healthcare projects) and have the ability to communicate with all stakeholders at all levels. Our client is willing and able to train where required in the transition to client-side and developing skills which are required for candidates with the right construction experience.
